Very nice cap. Did you see the post I started on 5 cent error set here? My 5 cent cap has a poor image there. :)

Mansioshop: You need to get a better grasp on the minting process and what a working die actually looks like before you start talking about looking at the underside or back or a hidden leaf. If I had to guess, I would say that you were never a "teacher's favorite" and you didn't take kindly to your parents saying "No!"

It won't go away because WE allow it to continue. We all know his errors are nothing special, contrary to what he claims....but every time we reply, we allow him to drone on and on. I agree with Dutchman...he needs to get the boot, but until he does something to deserve it, we ALL are responsible for his continuing on and on, because we keep it alive.

On the other hand, it's been nice to make new acquaintances from that Canadian coin forum (I apologize for not remembering it.....I should, I perused it for a long while), those new members who have followed (and had to deal with) this guys antics for alot longer than we have.

We ALL know he's blowing smoke, so lets not encourage him.

Thats right, Themansionshop...why don't you put ME on your RCMP 'hit list' in case you go 'missing' (I STILL can't believe he threatened members of that forum with that...he truly is out of his bleeding mind).

By the way.....Cannercoins, that is a really nice avatar coin!! Is it in your personal collection? I figure that one's worth more than Themansionshop's whole error collection.

themansionshop: What is it exactly that you are trying to get out of all of this? Will you be happy if we just agree to call it a "pennachio", or whatever it is you want to name it? And I thought my posts were bad! I'll call it a "macadamia" or any other nut you want to call it.

It is still just a flipover double strike.

I explained that in the other thread. The leaf on the back of the queens head is from the first strike, and the missing piece of the leaf on the other side is because that area is field area below the jaw and to the right of the throat from the first strike. The portrait of the queen provided the metal to fill the leaf design on the second strike and it kept the dies from coming close enough together for that field area to fill that missing portion of the leaf. That missing portion IS NOT the same part of the leaf design that shows on the queens bust in the second strike.

Nope not a broadstrike, but not an error either. This piece was deliberately assisted in creation by a mint worker. Still interesting though.

This is undoubtedly one of the funniest threads that I've run across......(well, this one and the other 3 exactly like it).
