I recently purchased 5 of these at auction. There are at least 7 currently being graded by NGC. Could these be the high dollar DDO's we've been waiting for??? Anyone with any info?

check the date, lower right sun rays, feet, dress. I have also heard of doubling on the reverse of these as well.

Not a doubled die but machine doubling IMO as this occurs on nearly every SAE. what do you mean "There are at least 7 currently being graded by NGC."?

Im not convinced, there is no flatening on mine, all are true and round and very consistant. definatly not from double striking. I guess we will see when NGC gets done with them. The guy I bought mine from sent 7 in. I'll update when I know for sure. Thanks

I noticed this doubling on some of mine, and stopped by my local coin shop. They have a bunch that look just like this. They called PCGS while I was there, and the rep said they have noticed this "doubling" but they are not attributing it as an error.

I am anxious to see how NGC handles it.

19Lyds (as well as those who said machine doubling) is absolutey right.

2010 Inverse Double Die Silver Eagle...........

Hey ya'll. I have several of these Silver Eagles. My father who owns a Pawn Shop in Ga. and has been dealing in coins for over 28 years told me they were "Inverse Double Die". As stated and pictured above, I have many ranging from "10%" to "80%" guesstimated. Some very predominate in the date and sandals, as well as the horizon line and lower ray of the sun. I purchased these in early 2010 so I am assuming that these are some of the first ones to come out like this. I would love any and all feedback from you nice kind folks.
    Best regards to all,
    Dean.
