I'm not a member of a nearby bank, but the tellers are willing to sell me coins in their tills (which I consider to be CRH). I asked for 50-cent pieces today and one teller had twenty, so I bought. What a surprise > there were two 1964s, two 1965s, and a 1966 (all Phillies)! And oddly, eight nice 1993Ds (I upgraded).

Of course - that's the way banks and credit unions operate! I don't think they are allowed to exchange money for anything other than face value.

Maybe, but she was just doing her job. I don't want to "Teller" anything, or she might start keeping those for herself.
