Die deterioration on the date. The WAM is the sought after variety for 1998. There are many markings on the coin, all are worthless. The coins’ general condition is good but that is very common too.
Yes.. have many 98s I’m looking through, 99s and 2000s. 1992s a couple of damaged ones but still to someone they may like. Lol. Thank you!
https://doubleddie.com/58201.html It may be helpful to know that by 1997 all cent dies and most of the other denominations were produced by single-squeeze hubbing. There are no "true" doubled dies after that. There is a lot of very minor doubling caused by the single press skipping but mostly around the ear at the center of the dies, and I don't perceive any of them being valuable. There are hundreds of them for 2009 cents alone. Here are some for 1999 https://doubleddie.com/834560.html.
Pam, I admire your effort! I'm sure it's no easy task (although enjoyable at the same time) looking through all of your dad's coins, but you keep at it! There is probably a special coin or two in there so don't give up!!
I get giddy just looking at my parents hand writing. So doing your dad buried treasure coins must be exciting @PamR
Thank you. I have so many 98s and 99s. I just put them down for a while. The 91 I had posted due to off centered but I bunch are as in dimes as well. Thanks again. I will look at the link.
It is. I smile of the ones I figured he enjoyed keeping which many Lincolns of course. I go back and forth on the denominations to look at. I think I really need to organize them lol.
