Shield Cents Defective Copper Plating Error

    I’ve only seen this on denver minted coins. Most likely there has to be some on phillys too ofc. Out of obw rolls.
    2018 D has the defects on Obv and rev.
    2019 D only on obv.

    It is missing a part of the copper layer IMO. It's a know error, while some zinc cents can be missing the entire copper layer.

    I'd ask for my money back. LOL
    Yes, it does look like a defect platted planchet was used. That copper is so thin, I'm surprised we don't see more of them.
