I don’t usually collect foreign coins, but I do collect coins with my birth year. Came across this Colombian coin with a few errors. Aside from the laminations and die cracks I can’t decide if the missing area on the obverse and reverse is from grease, defective planchet, or even a tapered planchet. Your thoughts please.
The obverse, I'd say detached lamination, the reverse, I'm not sure. Some rough texture but other than the small lam at 6:00, I'm not sure.
The OP asked for "Your thoughts please" I gave my thoughts. None of it matters if it is not a genuine coin.
@Mountain Man In one post you say "roll full of 1909 cents." And in another you can't tell an AU from an XF "I'm not known for my grading skills." With your limited numismatic knowledge you want to call out other members???
I wasn't "calling you out" as you put it. The OP posted a foreign coin with some errors and specifically asked a question about missing devices, not if the items was real or not. I attempt to give helpful answers to members. If you can't handle that, please just keep it to yourself.
