Like I said...maybe they will and maybe they won't return in 2023...can't seem to trust the mint either way after marketing their plans/return for 2022. Yes, unforeseen things happen, but in the meantime asking prices will rise for 2021s in the event they don't...and then keep on rising. Actually, when I first heard about them/their creation way back, I thought they would be a one-year, 100th anniversary issue of the last Morgan and the first Peace dollars...cool...but was not happy to learn of their continuation (not now) for 2022.

I buy coins or sets that suit me from the Mint. Things that I really like go fast and at my age, it's hard to keep up with what the Mint is doing. Are there any publications that gives us a "heads up" on what is going on with the Mint? I've read on CT that many collectors have quit buying from the Mint several years ago.
There have been 2 venues/subjects that the Mint has put out that I really like. I have been a science fiction fan since I was in the 6th grade. I read Asmov's Foundation series when I was 13 and Clarke a little later, so when the Mint came out with their Apollo 11 series of coins, I bought one of everything. The Apollo 11 prints are on the wall in my office next to Spock/Leonard Nimoy. I loved the Mayflower series as well. One of my "dog patch" kin (distant relative) was the second governor of Jamestown. I also started reading Louis L'Amour books about the Sacketts. It starts out in the 17th century and continues on.
I want to thank all of the collectors for their input about coins. I didn't start until my mother passed in 2009. My father left his collection to me and my brother, but my mother would not let us have it until she passed. We tried to make an equitable division of his coin collection. My brother took his collection and put it in a box and left it there. I offered to pay him, but he doesn't need the money.
Anyway, thanks to my father, I started a new hobby of coin collecting at the ripe old age of 62, and thanks to all of you, I have learned a great deal.

I was quite happy thinking it a 1 time 100th anniversary issue. To be honest I can't see any reason to continue. 1 year issue is a commerative, more then that is looking for a profit :D

That''s literally what their job is for collector coins.

The year off will probably actually help the popularity but they should just do a proof, then an RP and call it day. Doing them every year they'd get stale very quickly

Didn't buy the first set. I'll stick to the oldies.

I bought 34 of the 2021 series from the mint.

I sent them in for certification and ended up with 20 MS-70, 13 MS-69, and one MS-68. I will probably sell a few next year and I think the fact that there are no 2022’s will help the resale price.

I don't understand why one commem. is more popular than the rest. I compare them to the Buffalo dollar as they appear to be more sentimental to a certain group, but certainly not all. The hype from T V promotions is huge, but I think in the long run they will be on a decline in value just like so many others have. I guess their lower mintage is the driving force here, but sentiment plays a big roll also.

You’d just buy them from other people. If they were smart they’d up charge but I guess if you have enough friends they’d do it for cost

The P,S,D minted coins I can see...they were minted at those mints. The privy O & CC were struck at either P,S or D. They advertise it as a "Carson City" coin...its just not a Carson City coin. Period.

It's too bad the Nevada State Museum and the Mint couldn't get together on this issue. Press #1 still operates and from time to time they will strike medals for fund raising...they could have struck the genuine CC dollar on the same press which struck the originals.

I only got the Denver and San Francisco Morgans. I'm not trying to get the set. I wanted the 2021 Peace, but couldn't get it from the Mint. I bought on from Mount Vernon. They're cheaper most of the time than many of the Brick and Mortar websites. I have 4 RAW Peace coins, 1922, 1922D, and 1922S and a 1923. I can't find a 1921 that is in a decent shape that I can afford. I have the Morgan 1921D and 1921S to go with my 2021D and 2021S.

NGC really messed up the reverse images on my coins. Take a look at the attached image. You get three guesses about what is wrong and the first 2 do not count.

**Hint** Does this reverse image really go with this coin? :(

Think I photo shopped this? Check the coin yourself. 5986745-034

Every single reverse image of my 34 coins that I have checked is wrong.

I have written to NGC support. So far no response.

One or two 'screw ups' I could maybe see, but 34?

Are you sure they're not all 'mules'? devil.gif
