Did anyone here buy any coins or grading services from Univeral Grading Service? I see where they're suing Ebay, ANA and PNG for antitrust violations. I don't have any experience with them.

I saw the lawsuit, won't do them any good even if they win. E-bay could be forced to list them but knowledgable collectors know they are a second tier grading company and will stay away. Guess you can fool some. SEG anyone

There's an article in this issue of Coin World about it on page 80.

Hmmm, I'm wondering if Ebay is going to recognize DGS anytime soon.

You can subscribe to Coin World for only 20 bucks and get 12 print mags and 52 e-editions - the e-edition is pretty cool.

Considering the suit has been dragging for more than two years now, they aren't pushing very hard.

The article focus in on the defendants motions objecting to the plaintiffs motion to once again modify their complaint. They come in once a year and modify their charges, the defendants are maintaining that even after three attempts and two years they still don't have a solid legal argument upon which to base their charges.

And yes I do have a couple of UGS slabs in the reference set. They aren't easy to come by. Apparently the company only produced slabs for a couple months and I thought they had gone out of business even before eBay restricted the acceptable slab choices.
