Great addition to a "cool hat" collection!

 

Those are cool. When I was in Ethiopia I tried to get some coins but it was hard to exchanged my USD to Ethiopian Birr and even harder to get those Birr notes changed for coins.
I got a few but all newer of course. They still have the cool lion though

Great looking coin! I like foreign hats as well, check out this hat from Bhutan! Btw, anyone know what this Bhutan hat is called??

 

Way down the road I want a decent Birr coin. They get expensive in higher grades.

 

I would LOVE a crown-sized coin. But like you said, expensive.

This is an Ethiopian gold coin that was gifted to my father by Haile Selassie. It is very small, and I found it at the bottom of his cuff link box. At first I thought is was junk, until I decided to take it to my LCS. Glad I did! Very rare and valuable!
