I was about to let this one pass but got good news tonight so pulled the trigger just before the auction ended... The good news? well my VA case will continue (over 10 years now) but they threw me a bone... bumped me up to 90% starting next month which is about a $500 a month increase in income (even if I may have to wait another year for the fat backpay check lol) So with that bit of good news I went ahead and started spending it lol... Nice quarter. What was the VAs reasoning for the bump and what are you asking for. 100%? Depending on what the disability is and how it was acquired, the VA is like an insurance company, they will nit-pick you until you die. Good luck.
I was 100% from 2004-2012 was supposed to be perminant as of 2009 (5yrs) they changed the regs and dropped me to 30% in 2012 as the other issues hadn't been determined "service connected" (no need when you already at 100%) I've spent the last 10 years fighting to get it all straight again... going through "remands" from the VBA court case in DC now, step by step but they taking their damn time doing them 1 at a time. got it bumped to 50 in 2016 and 70 in 2018 this one puts it to 90. And because it is a "Q" case backpay is not limited to 2 year.. they gonna have to pay in full when this is all done back to 2012 IF i manage to live that long lol
