    Nope. Not a Doubled Die.
    Flat and shelflike.

According to Variety Vista and Wexler, the known DDO's for that year and MM are all Proof issues except 1971-S 1¢ WDDO-006 but yours is not it. As stated above flat and shelflike, You can see how the profile of the numbers has been narrowed

Don't give up hope, they are out there, sometimes in the most unlikely places. I found this one here in Spain in what was a "searched" bag of 300 cents.

I guess if I do not see it in the examples of ddo, It is not a ddo.
I guess I need to look for more examples. I thought the 7 had a doubling for sure because of the left lower side. WIN_20220314_10_00_22_Pro.jpg WIN_20220314_09_58_12_Pro.jpg WIN_20220314_09_57_57_Pro.jpg WIN_20220314_09_57_23_Pro.jpg WIN_20220314_09_57_00_Pro.jpg

Yes.. And notice that there's no notching.

Also note how the size of the raised area of the numbers/letters is made smaller in appearance due to the machine doubling, whereas with the true doubled die the letter/number area is larger, as well as having the notching.
