    Problemo with Lanz: he selling forgery and tell it, but the fake will be put on matket later...Lanz don’t know what black cabinet is. Myself would be fool by 3/5 now for sale !

    I'm glad you posted those - in particular that Justinian follis, Year XII from Nicomedia. One just like it showed up on eBay the other day, from a fairly reputable seller. It was cheap, but nobody bid on it. I was very tempted, but it looked a bit "off" to me.

    Actually, I think there are a lot of fake big Justinian folles floating around. Unlike the fake Marc Antony denarii, these folles look pretty good - a bit mushy, but low-grade folles sometimes look like that through wear, etc. In other words, this is a much more convincing, and therefore dangerous, fake. :yack:
