Hello... I got 5 coins of 50 Ruble from 1993. I was told that this are special coins and even have some sort of healing powers...Does anyone knows how much might they cost?
Well, you already have them, so why do you want to know how much they might cost? The numismatic value of the healing power of coins is difficult to measure, but it is generally ZERO.
Healing power: 0 What are the edge of those coins and the mintmark? There are varieties with those coins.
could you please explain your question...and BTW im not asking how much do they worth because of their healing power, but because they are supposed to be rare. heres a picture:
I got no idea how or who tried to hypnotize you believing that these coins are rare. There are four different types: Coins struck in 1993 with interrupted reeded edge and non-magnetic both in Moscow and Leningrad. Coins struck in 1995 but dated 1993 with smooth edge and magnetic both in Moscow and Leningrad. If your coin fills in those criteria, they are all under 10USD, the rarest is the one struck in Leningrad, magnetic, smooth edge. Most of them are basically 2-3 USD. If your coin doesn't fill in those criteria, that's another story. If you need pictures to help you to assist, I have my site here: http://www.gxseries.com/numis/rus_new_type/1992_2007.htm I repeat - these are very common and if someone tried to deceive you, you better go and ask that person.
Thanks man you helped me a lot. I have three from 1993 and 2 from 1995...The figure "3" is shaped diff. I didn't thought they were Aztec Gold Coins type of rare, but that these 50 Ruble coins are one of those special edition coins, that were circulated...like a quarter with a picture of a state on it. Last two questions: How do you distinguish the edge and how do you distinguish where they were made? Thanks again
BTW, I got three 10 ruble coins that according to your site are from special series of some sort. One is from the Department of Internel Defence. One is from the region of "Kabradino" and one is for 55 years over the win against the Germans. Are they worth anything? (won't be selling these, they look awesome.)
Elmex, these are the two mintmarks and it should be relatively obvious: Moscow mint (MMD): Leningrad mint (LMD): Mintmark is located in between the letter "ruble" and the year "1993". There are only two different edges - it's either smooth or interrupted milled.
the ones from 1993 are from Leningrad, and the three from 1995 are from Moscow. one has a smooth edge and the rest are with lines....Anyways thanks for the information all...no value on my 10 ruble special series coins?
I've looked them up in my world coins book. They are priced at $.75 in XF-AU, and $1.00 in unc. I don't have the book with me now, but I believe the rarer ones from Leningrad are worth the same unless uncirculated, which would make them worth $3. The world coin book is typically overpriced. For instance, common date Morgan dollars are listed at over $30 in lower grades. So, the prices I offered are retail prices. So the actually value of them is probably half of that.
tnx for the info...am not going to sell these anyways...you can lock this post now i got all my answers.
