I didn't think this would attract much or be so interesting...I stand corrected!!! Don't you mean "worst"? Ouch!!!!!... No apologies...I suspect your talents improved the coin! @green18, great idea for a thread!
You're too kind but I still lust after a camera like yours. I had a Canon A1 and a pretty nice darkroom in the last century but never made the leap to a nice DSLR. You take some fine pitchers.
If you're saying what I think you're saying, the coins in the photos appear just as they are in real life, the photos are not enhanced in any way
Well, it was meant to be a joke, but if you're saying the pic exactly represents the coin, then your photo skills are pretty good!
But for thine post, I wouldst have forgotten this fair maiden, bought ostensibly for the planchet defect (although I do LOVE the Half Cent series). Thank you fine squire
Easier seen on the reverse, split in the edge around 10 o'clock, on the obverse at around 8 o'clock. It's not damage, I have a few different coins with the same style of split. May have been close to the edge of sheet or the sheet itself was faulty when punching the blanks
all these abused examples... so here is some "wretched and forlorn" beauty... at least a 69... probably a 70...
This one came today, the left hand image hath a lot more ugly that doth the reverse. AH1326/1956 Sudan 2 qirsh. I kind of like the look of that armed camel driver.
