Anyone been watching the Olympics? I know, kind of a dumb question for sure. I was taking a look at the Royal Mint of Canada and was wondering did anyone pick anything up from them yet?

I know there's a number of Canadian members out there, so I thought I would ask.

Also, hey wouldn't it be the pits if they gave out a clad medal as well? just a thought amigos. :D

I'm waiting to see who wins the hockey game on Sunday.
If we lose, I'm melting all my Canadian coins and selling all of my Maple Leaves.

Yes, there have been alot of great skaters, skiers, snowboarders and alot more still to come. Has anyone bought any gold? Silver? Clad? I was looking at Coin World" one of the newspaper magazines and they had an advertising of a $300 gold proof dated 2007, very nice looking. It was the first in a series featuring images from ancient games and the Vancouver skyline surrounded by modern spectators. Anyone?

Yes, I watched many of the events.

The 2010 silver lucky loonie is what I liked most but it was of limited 40,000 mintage and sold out real fast. I didn't get one. I don't usually like colored coins but this one seemed more tasteful/less gaudy than the others.

I have watched the commercials which were occasionally interpreted by sporting events. Except the curling channel, which had few commercials.

As to the medals, the gold medals are, I think, silver gilded with about 6 grams of gold so they are, sort of, clad.
