A roll coin penny I can't exactly specify.

Got this 1997 D penny in today's roll search. It has the most defined sharp image I have ever seen on a peeny. I have tried to research the 1997D PL but can't find much on it. But by pictures it looks the same. Ideas?

Certain years cents have fared better in quality than others. Almost always you will find Denver cents to be of a higher quality than Philly coins. 1997,98, 99 were all good years for nice strikes including Philly. I have gone through many rolls of these dates and always found mostly quality coins.

It's still a zincoln. It's pretty but the value is one cent. Nice looking coin thanks for sharing.

Very nice looking. Obviously minted with newer dies and not worn out dies. A nice keeper but it will never be worth more than one cent.

Nice looking PENNY but not worth more than a cent and certainly not PL.

I've never seen any TPG tag a Lincoln cent as full steps, so have no idea what that's all about.
