    If that is copper showing through then it was re-processed, JMO
    And it is a cent not a dime,maybe a typo in your title

    Your first one? How did you come by it? Really nice examples are available for little money, if you like.

    I don’t know if you remember, but I have been going through my dad’s coins which he had many. I took a break and started dividing others I had found and stored them for son to have. Found this one and I know it’s been through the mill.

    Aw, now I remember. Excuse my old mind.
    Your dad collected a lot of interesting coins. I'm surprised he didn' have a ton of "Steel Pennies." I have almost 500 of which most were inherited from my grandfather.
