1972-S DDO or MD

I found this 1972-S cent and it looks like it has doubling on the date and mint but it could be MD

Thats what I thought but the(S,T)looked exactly the same to the VV example.

The die punch and the mint mark punch are independent events on these.

The date was punched first, when the working die was punched, then the mint mark was punched into that. When you see them both doubled, knowing the punches were independent events, that's a sign it's strike doubling. All pre-1989 mint marks were punched into the working dies like that.
