Fake krugerrands, for all my fellow coin collectors coin enthusiasts and coin lovers alike and exonomous please be on the lookout for this fake... Don't get conned... Found it on wish
I have only purchased US gold and feel I am competent identifying a fake US gold. I don't know that I have ever had a Krugerrand in hand and wouldn’t know a fake from the real thing. What are the tip offs?
I'm sorry, but that "AD" for the Fisch made me laugh. Any coin collector worth their salt would have a scale and caliper to come to the same conclusion and wouldn't have to spend money buying a Fisch for each size coin they ran across. I'm pretty sure that @Randy Abercrombie was referring to the obvious signs in the design that might appear and not just the weigh and diameter, but I could be wrong and I'm sure someone will correct me if so.
Yes, the fact that it was priced at $5, stated as 'replica' and as gold plated iron should have should rand a few alarm bells
