Hello and welcome to my 39,000 posts celebration thread! :woot:

I started Metal Detecting 13 years ago. My first metal detector was a Whites Classic 5ID. That detector no longer works properly since the display has conked out :(

I was so excited when I started finding my first US Coins and would separate the different denominations. In my first year of detecting I put all the Lincoln Cents in zip bags by different decades thinking that one day I would go through them and check for mint errors and varieties.

I forgot that I had these Cents which I stored in an old plastic Plano tackle box. I recently found it hidden away in a closet in my son's room. Yesterday I started searching and went through about 400 Cents.
I found 4 interesting issues and 4 PMD Cents that are Etsy worthy.. :hungry::greedy:.. :wacky:JK!

I know some don't think of these as errors but still fun to find for me

Next weekend I will post new finds. This Plano box is currently not at home and it's a bit too much to take it home with me.

What ever happened to your daily FOG? Is NYC getting too cheap to leave morsels for you?

39,000! Nice to reach a goal. Congratulations.
I bet finding that box of old metal detecting cents was like opening a Christmas gift on Christmas morning for a kid. We all, hopefully, still have that "kid" inside of us and the joy something like this can bring is immeasurable.
Have fun going through the rest of them.

    Yes!
I was surprised when I found it. It was funny how I separated each Cent by decade. My idea was to do that for every find.. But..
I found thousands of more cents over the years but it would of been impossible to store them all.. After the first several years I just took them to a Coinstar kiosk.
