Well - that's too bad getting cheated. Just got to find that pizza place or a place that uses that size token.

New Haven style?? If you are on the shore, try Zuppardi's in West Haven (and a few new locations). Shorter waits but terrific pizza (no tokens).

Just think! How many other CT members have one of those? For that matter, how many people in your state or this country have one! I think it may be really rare and you should keep it!!! ;);)

It was pre-Chuckie Cheeze - like late 1970s early 1980s. Not sure if has any real collector value, but some of the early Chuckie tokens can be collectable.

I'll have a large with extra cheese hold the onions, a pitcher of on-tap brew. Keep the change. Enjoyed your post thanks for sharing.

Anchovies and onions here, that's very clean anchovies!
Or I will send it back.

So you pick through all of the anchovies to make sure they are clean? I guess you like cold pizza. LOL

When I add them to my own, I make sure they are clean before I bake a pizza.
(anchovy people know what I mean, don't ya?)
I don't get to order anchovies at many places anymore. I get looked at like I have one eye in the middle of my forehead.

I don't think that token would get you a pizza though in it's day. Maybe a round of Whack-a-mole.

Looks like a metal detecting find or perhaps just an outdoor pickup.

Could be. These tokens get tossed into cup holders and lost there for long periods. Catching moisture regularly, these tokens don't hold up well especially if the coating is compromised.

it was Chuck E.Cheese. The owner of Showbiz was a co-owner of Pizzatime Theater, they had a falling out and separation and the guy went out and did Showbiz Pizza place to compete against them, it lasted from 1980 to 1992 or so as that.

interesting fact, Chuck E Cheese is a distant creation of an Atari co-founder Nolan Bushnell. Bushnell got Atari to get the first location rolling, ended up leaving Atari and buying the store off them and then got co investors for the Pizzatime Theater franchise platform. This is where the Showbiz owner Brock comes on board, eventually separates to make Showbiz, and in 1984 Pizzatime Theater goes bankrupt and all assets purchased by Showbiz and both chains run as they were with Showbiz owning them.

in 1992 all locations rebranded to Chuck E. Cheese (concept unification), and along this time it became a publicly traded company.

Also I'm wondering if we have a mandela effect here...
Chuck E. Cheese, or Chuckie Cheeze?
