1942 S Jefferson Nickel (Lamination)

    Have had this coin for quite a while - finally getting around to imaging it.

    It's dripping with luster and stunning electric blue/green toning - plus a fun lamination peel to boot!

    That is pretty spectacular! What more could you ask for?

    It's interesting - you may be able to see a line at the bottom and left of the steps on Monticello - that's part of the lamination. Maybe we should call this...Fully Detachable Steps?

    I haven't seen blue like that. On the blast of white...wonderful contrast!! Nice coin!!

    Lamination yes but I'm having a tough time with the uneven toning and color, sorry. Nice looking '42 otherwise thanks for sharing.

    Think of it more as an overall translucent sheen that only reflects at certain angles - so the camera only picks it up in certain spots. Yeah, I can see an issue with the tan areas surrounding the color - and no worries at all if it doesn't suit ya :)
