Some parts still need to be cleaned, and it will be a very nice coin.. Traian Decius antoninian, 4 gr..
Very nice! Do you have any cleaning tips for noobs? Like for cleaning late Roman AE3s? Dunking them in olive oil and waiting a long time didn't seem to work.
Great find! And a nice cleaning job as well. Always love seeing everything you manage to find out there! Here’s my example of the type: Trajan Decius, Antoninianus (22 mm, 4.16 g), Rome. Radiate and cuirassed bust of Decius r./ Rev. PANNONIAE The two Pannoniae standing front, looking left and right; the one on the l. holding standard, the one on the r. raising her r. hand in salute and holding vexillum in her l. RIC 21b
Outstanding @galba68! Very good job cleaning this coin (as all of the ones I've seen you post have been). It's difficult to imagine that "glob" would turn into that nice of a coin! Thanks for posting.
Congratulations on the find and great job with the conservation! Here's my example of the two Pannoniae reverse type.
