1995 Great Britain 50th Anniversary End of World War II Piedfort Two Pound Proof 32 gr 28.4 mm. .925 Silver 10000 minted This one is double thick. I have the regular size too. (It' like an Alfred Hitchcock movie in here!)
Only part of a bird, but a cool part: And while I'm not really a super fan of the bird, I do really like the design and subject matter of the other side: Same with this one - another of my favorite designs (the flying goddess): And same with this one (favorite one with swords, but the eagle is interesting): I've always enjoyed this one as well: Not my coin anymore, but this was a truly gorgeous bird (probably my favorite US eagle): I'll stop!
I love the Charter Oak on that Connecticut Half. Keep hoping someday I'll find a nice example of both that and the 1927 Vermont - I keep dreaming about rolling into an out of the way coin shop and finding each one in the original packaging with gorgeous toning. Haha.............but seriously, I do dream about stuff like that.
This slab should say "PL" on it, but it doesn't (but it should): I don't know WHO wouldn't like this little fella: Here's a coin I wish didn't have a huge gash on the other side, or the damage to this side, or the black spot - otherwise it'd be TPG entombed in my permanent collection (I've still kept it with no plans to sell): Everybody loves the birds on this one - I guess I could have shared it for the Superb Owl Day (I remembered the bats, but not the owl): This eagle is Top of the Pop: And I honestly just really like this eagle (I learned my great great grandmother was born in 1863 just north of Venice) and I wish I had a nicer example:
I have a good date range of NZ Florins with the KIWI flightless bird. Here's part of my collection 1947-51 The Obverse vary. 1947 King George VI - Emperor 1948-51 obverse is King George the Sixth
