Now it is an Arizona 2008 quarter, counter stamped "UNDER GOD".

    Ideas?

Ohhhh I think I have this one figured out! I just needed your post.
"Why? How?" you may ask...Well, this came in the mail last night:

I believe that these 2 quarters are half of what is written at Four Corners.
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Four_Corners_Monument

    Starting with Colorado:
    COLORADO - "Here Meet"
    NEW MEXICO - "In Freedom"
    ARIZONA - "Under God"
    UTAH - "Four States"

Now all we need are "Here Meet" and "Four States".

    Who has Colorado and Utah?!

    I've got the Colorado.

But how does this help decode QM's identity?

    That is a solid question.
So we have the following states now:

    C
    olorado
    Vermont
    Arizona
    New Mexico

Perhaps it isn't the messages on the coins but the particular states themselves that have meaning to QM's identity?

Like @ZoidMeister , there are only a few people who know my mailing address. The fact that my first letter came with a picture of a frog on it, narrows it down to probably someone on CT. I have a suspicion but I would like to see if we get a few more quarters posted.

I got California it reads "EVERY JULY". I do think there will be the 4 of four corners out there when everyone gets their mail, Utah will turn up I'm sure.

I have no idea what California and "every July" is or how it might relate to that if at all, but maybe he just made a four corners set and spread it out, a red herring possibly.

    Furry,

What is even MORE cryptic is that the QuarterMaster is sending these to my HOME address.

I have all numismatically related deliveries, Amazon deliveries, and 99.5% of any online purchase get delivered to my WORK address, and have been doing that for years - since my neighborhood had a rash of street rats following the Post Office and Brown trucks around, retrieving stray packages left behind.

The only people who might possibly know my home address are anyone who I've SENT something to, or someone who owns an online business where purchases require the entry of my billing address.

My home address comes up as a difficult to change default through my online postage / shipping program. This list is pretty darn small as I never sell anything . . . . .

Oh yeah, I have a PDF record of shipping labels going back years . . . . . longer than I've been a CT member.

The list of potential suspects has also got to include someone with a very quick wit . . . . . someone who can come up with these sometimes devilish riddles. That really limits the pool of potential suspects.

That and the suspect must be mechanically inclined. If I were to undertake such a project I am sure my fingers would get smashed beyond recognition making it nearly impossible to type such an eloquent letter that comes with each of his creations.

So here is the suspect filter list:

    1. Mechanically inclined
    2. Quick Wit
    3. Someone I have sent something to
    4. Someone I have bought from (potentially)

In the other thread I started yesterday, I surmised that the QM must have an accomplice. He used a Sherlock Holmes image on the latest envelopes which raises the question, "Who is Watson?"

    https://www.cointalk.com/threads/the-quartermaster-has-thrown-down-the-gauntlet.393176/page-2

The reason I figure there must be a "Watson" is the QM would never risk detection (before now) by mailing these packages from his home Postal Code. I am deducing he sends bundles of these to an accomplice who drops them off at the same Post Office each time.

I also think they are being made in one place and sent to another to be mailed off.

Another possibility, although exceedingly remote in my deductive reasoning chain, is that the QuarterMaster just might have access to identities and mailing addresses if . . . . . . . . . .

    . . . . . he was one of the Secret Santa Elves . . . . . . . .

    Just sayin' . . . .
