What does this "QA" sticker mean and where does it come from?

Saw this sticker on a PCGS coin offered at auction. I assume it means "Quality Assured" or some such. No mention of it is made on the PCGS Certification page for this coin.

Is this a PCGS sticker or some other third party's sticker?

I've seen a few. What I think I know is that they are a company you submit slabbed coins to, they focus on moderns, and the market does seem to give them at least a measure of respect.
    Others can correct me....

Third party for moderns. Has nothing to do with PCGS

Thanks. The wag in me thought it might mean "Questionable Authenticity".

First I've seen one. I don't put much premium in any sticker added to a slab, not even CAC.

What we are all waiting for...when another company comes along to verify a grade for a CAC sticker.

Definitely in the very small minority if you're waiting for that

No CAC or QA or even auction stickers allowed on my slabs... (well maybe a gold cac but I do tend to avoid them because of the stickers and increased prices...) The only sticker I actualy allow or desire is the "varslab" sticker on some morgans (vam verification for already slabbed morgans)

Touche, sometimes its hard to tell given how simply mentioning CAC has a tendency to break a lot of brains on forums and always leads to such rational discussions :p

it's the same function as CAC, but for Moderns that the CAC won't do. filling a hole with a service...

I understand what you are implying by "...the same function...', but there is a difference in the Model. QA is not a buy back Model (yet). That is not to discount the possibility that it eventually could be, with enough Dealers joining and agreeing to partake in a CAC similar Model, and that QA receives a listing in a GREYSHEET similar publication that the Market (Dealers/Collectors/Hobbyists) can and will rely upon and have trust in.

I would identify QA as a 4PG-Pending, and given time, and acceptance, will add life to the Hobby.

Yeah it’s like CAC… just in this case the price increases when you remove the sticker ;-)
