    We may be getting off the geographical track somewhat. Uzbekistan is landlocked N,S,E and West by the other 4 "stan's" and Philippines cannot be seen from Uzbekistan. Still nice coins though

    I have some 'stans...let me look...Russia would be easy, here is Iran, 2 rials, 1981. I was slow, still works as straight shot across the water from Russia.

    Don't think it matters all that much. Just a thread. Mine doesn't really work with Iran. Just thought we could go back and retry one of the 'stans. Let the next play off either Turkey or one of the 'stans.

    Borders changed a lot back in those days of the Silk Road. Money changers must have had a blast. Could do some coin collecting there and then!

    I have a lot of Silk Road coinage, much of it medieval and obscure. Russia borders on most of the Silk Road so I'll post this one to open up the options.
