Pictures?first off your coin is made of 75% clad and 25% nickel not silver. Its well within tolerance at what your saying and around 0.40 grams to light for it to be silver.Dever coins can be very well struck and most likely your example didn't make it into circulation. The state quarter series were very popular and widely keept by many pristine. Also the silver state quarters were only struck with proof dies at the sanfransisco mint so being a denver that's not possible.Still 25 cents but if it's a high grade gem could be a little more.

Well that's why I'm asking . Shows no copper on rim . Tissue test shines through like no other clad coin . Matches the true silver I place there though . Came from circulation not perfect but not missing clad ,no major flaws ,and I absolutely different than any I've seen . Not matte finish. And a D mint . I know it's all wrong ,right ?
Having trouble with images . Trying . thanks to you so for the fast reply

All the others are 5.67 in same scale . Wich is accurate ,my reloading scale . I know a silver should be over 6 also . Thickness and circumference are fine .

Your coin has most likely been plated which explains the clear white edge and shiny appearance,a very common occurrence.

If it's not showing copper on the rim there is a good chance it's been plated.

Many state quarters were plated in gold, silver & platinum for collector sets.

It should show heavy if it's plated, double check your scale.

Yeah I weighed several times, several coins . Same result 5.61 exactly . The scale I'm using actually fluctuates if it's near a ceiling fan. Others are 5.67 .

Hard to tell from photo's what's going on but I suspect like @potty dollar 1878 said. Clad with possible plating. IMG_20220131_160115734-horz.jpg IMG_20220131_160133638.jpg

Always had trouble following directions. Lol I thought the same except that it weighs light . I don't know what the playing adds though . I know all my other state and ATB quarters are all very very close to the 5.67. I'm sure its wanting to grab that ,but what if ??? I'm no expert for sure ,I've only been seriously into this a year or so . This one jumped out at me instantly. Then doesn't seem to make sense of itself . It's the OCD wanting to know why 2+2 seems to be 4.3 .....something is off ???

Can you weigh the coins w/o the napkin? :jawdrop::hilarious:
5.61G is Not far off from 5.67. The allowance is 5.443 to 5.897.
