The large cent is for my growing EAC collection. Now I need to dig out my Large Cent references to determine the variety. These Braided Hair cents are often tough for me to ID. The Half Dime is for a collection that has been sitting idle for a while. I'll dig out my Logan-McCluskey reference to ID its variety.
Nice coins. I won't try to attribute the cent - I hate trying to attribute these late date half and large cents. I've attributed the half dime but I won't spoil your fun. Nice clash on the reverse though.
I finally slowed down enough to start ID'ing my new coins. I tackled the half dime first (they're easier to do than the Braided Hair cents). I came up with an LM-6 (R-1).
Okay, now I think I have the 1856 Large Cent ID'ed. Using both the Grellman and Noyes references I've got it as an N-10 (R-1). If I ever find something I think is an R-4 or higher I'll ship it off to PCGS for Variety Plus.
