I'm limited to proof sets, mint sets, and silver eagles from the Mint these days...too much junk being produced.

My problem with modern Mint products is the lack of hands- on skills which were lost with modern minting techniques, such as the so-called 2021 Morgan Commems. they call "Morgan Dollars". They don,t look genuine, are of the wrong alloy, and just another Commem. in a long list of others.

I wonder how many, including myself, have left the American Eagle enrollments?

I am hoping to get a birth year set for '22. We have a new granddaughter arriving in April. Unfortunately, it will be our only mint purchase this year.

"Well, it's not so much that it doubled, it's that the mint reduced how many they make" lol

That's probably what's really going on, you know that was the marketing departments "get em while they're hot" shtick. Truth is probably more along the lines of what I posted and that they don't want to just make more.

Do you have one of those P’s that you had to send an unopened case with serial #’s to TPG. SO IT says minted In Philly

I think when it gets to the point when you feel you need to get 1 of everything (new) coins. That’s a bunch of money. My idea is to get old coins. Those old shiny asa coins right

It really doesnt matter how many have left when there's more than enough to replace them which is the case here since the enrollment alone is going to sell out the issues.

I stopped buying proof and mint sets in the 90s and don't miss them, they are way too expensive. I expect my only purchase from the mint will be proof Morgan / Peace.

I no longer collect ASE’s due to milk spotting issues.

Virtually everything you buy from the US Mint gets cloudy and milky in short order. Not worth the hassle and premiums. I quit too.

Dear me... looks like I made a wrong turn along the way. What a cheery bunch of coin enthusiasts!

I was looking for a write-up on the 2022 AE. After receiving a hodgepodge of rev proof, proof, unc over the last few years, I ordered the 2022 AE Proof (W) under the "Congratulations" allotment. The new design is stellar!

It didn't seem like the mint was overcome by initial orders. Am i missing something?

PS: Also, did i miss an update on the 2022 AE set (UNC, Proof, Rev Proof) that was supposed to arrive towards the end of the year? It looks like it has also been removed from the mint website.
