AV Bunduqi Dinar AH 1095 (listed as rare in Krause) Isma'il al-Samin "the Fat" 1672-1727 Hadrat Fés This coin has a complete strike/ full date/ mint
Nope! But I asked a friend who can read arabic.... No mention of rulers name. However the mint is clearly defined as Hadrat Fés The date is defined as "five and ninety and thousand" =AH 1095 Rest are verses from Quran
ive been interested in adding more Arabic style coins to my world crown collection. they always seem mysterious to me.
Wow! Another great acquisition, @panzerman. I enjoy the subtle beauty of the calligraphy of Islamic coins.
I would in your situation stick to World Crowns/ Talers/ Multiples. The one struck by the HRE/ German States are amazing esp. the Double/ Triple/ Five fold Talers.
Except for the date ("five and ninety and one thousand"), the legends on @panzerman's coin are the same as those translated here: https://www.davidmus.dk/en/collections/islamic/dynasties/northafrica/coins/c496?show=design
