2022 - FOG, FIC and FIM Thread

Hello everyone,
As many of you know I had a couple of threads over the years showing my FOG, FIC and FIM finds here in NYC.
For those new members that have no idea what I'm talking about then here is the explanation..

FOG - Found On Ground
Coins, jewelry and and item of value I find in the streets and sidewalks.

FIM - Found In Meter
Coins found in the parking meter coin return slot.

FIC - Found In Coinstar

My first FOG that was actually spotted by my wife yesterday evening was a nice 925 silver earring..


And about 15 minutes ago I got my first FIM..
$2.00 in Quarters

No major finds these past couple of weeks. A few Cents here and there.

This morning I did find 1 junk ring and 15 Cents


I'll add it to the other junker rings I have FOG near my job

 

At first glance, without reading anything, I thought you found the rim of a coin. LOL It didn't take long to see it was a hoop ear ring.

Those quarters . . . are you stealing from MTA now?

Does that mean the coins, or the machine? LOL

 

He's an amateur. Firstly, he's searching the wrong machines. Secondly, he doesn't have the right tool to search the right machines...

If they don't see me taking the quarters then I'm good. I always look around before getting my goodies. I don't need the meter so I leave it where it is!

So I just did a little walk in midtown Manhattan and I found me some coins!

Starting with this oversized planter with a bush near the NY Public Library with 63 Cents inside..


Then a CoinStar machine reject bin with a Silver Roosevelt, 2 Pence and 3 Cents..Cents..


A few more coins here and there

All FOG's and FIC's for this evening..

 

Maybe I should start checking them hmm.

I've been on a slump finding coins recently. Maybe just a few Cents here and there.

But this morning I got me $1.00 from a parking meter and a cool asian coin at a bus stop

Later that week, a $20 outside a store.

Found In Ticket machine (NYC Transit card)

Got 35 Cents this morning waiting for my bus.

I bet after a Macy’s parade or any occasion really, you are like a kid in a toy store. I think I know what I want for Mother’s Day! Lol! A bunch of high schools here and Baton Rouge and New Orleans etc. Great finds for you!

 

Wow @paddyman98 You must carry an awful large bottle of Hand Sanitizer. LOL...
