    Hello everyone,
I went metal detecting this morning at a local park. It was very cold :nailbiting:.. My fingers are frozen!

I'm excited to have found my first Silver coin and Wheat Cents for 2022..

It’s cold but at least the snow is gone. Was the ground frozen? At least you got out and cold weather had a way of pushing up metal items to the service. Congratulations on the first silver find!

How the heck could you dig thru the frozen ground?

I used to do that, and be careful, I screwed up my elbow [repetitive stress]
It took a few months to go back to normal.

Im considering getting one of those. For now - I just use a normal garden trowel. However, lots of digging in packed ground has left it wobbly and loose.

Congratulations on the first silver for 2022.
What the heck is that object between the nut and washer/heart? Looks like a gold nugget, but then I guess I'm just wishful. LOL

    Thanks!

It's a clump of twisted metal. I believe it is copper.
I thought it was interesting so I kept it. Need to look at it better later.
