I love snow and winter because I get to go up and down a dozen stairs and add firewood to the wood stove 5 or 6 times a day. It helps me exercise and keep my two recent total knee replacements feeling great!

 

I love winter even though at my age I can't write my full name in the snow anymore. It gives me a chance to look out the window and not feel guilty about skipping mowing the lawn last summer. I like cold too! It keeps the nasty critters away; especially the neighbors.

I love snow because its pretty as a picture and miles away on top of the mountains, plus I don't have to have a bar of it, (or even a little flake).

I like winter because the temperatures do not drop lower than 14 C in the daytime. In bed I never need a 'hottie', although one might be nice occasionally

I absolutely love the winter. If it snows, I watch my wife shovel it. If it gets icy, I watch my wife scrape the car windows and salt the sidewalks. If the snow is deep enough, I watch my wife deal with the guy that’s hired to plow the driveway.

If the plow comes down the street, again, I watch my wife unblock the driveway. I can’t see the mailbox from the house but I know my wife shovels that so our carrier can pull off the road to get to the mailbox.

And what do I do? I stay in a nice warm house. So what’s not to like about winter? Please tell me.

I love the snow and cold because when I'm out on the lake ice fishing and my buddies and I go outside for a whiz when it's 20 below, the saying "all men are created equal" is true.

Entry post. I love snow because in Buffalo.I can shovel snow when I get home at night for about a hour or so. Only to enjoy the opportunity to shovel the same area when I leave in the morning.

Since you said snow and lies, for some reason it reminded me of high school so many years ago. It was winter and it had snowed all night into the next day. I had an assignment due but I dragged my feet getting it done until it was too late. I was probably out playing in it but don't remember for sure. The closer it came to when I would have to explain to my teacher, the more frantic my mind worked on an excuse. At the last moment, I hit on a twist to the old "my dog ate my homework" theme which I knew she wouldn't believe.

I told the teacher that I had worked many hours on it and it was a masterpiece. While I wrote I got hungry and made roast beef sandwiches and ate them as I wrote. The next morning while I trudged to school through the drifts of snow, with the wind driving stinging flakes into my squinting eyes, a polar bear attached. The polar bear ate my homework. I barely escaped.

True story. I did tell that one to my teacher.
