Nice! Only found 2 Vs in all my nickel searches.
Picked up my weekly boxes a bit ago. Cents are solid 21P again. Quarters and halves will hopefully be good.

 

If you're super-persistent, you'll eventually turn them up. But there's plenty of more modern stuff to look for, too.

Whelp this week was a bust.
Halves - Skunk. A few NIFCs that got tossed back.
Quarters - A 62D and a Thai 5 Baht.

Pretty lame.

 

True story...

I've been going to a couple banks every day searching for the new Maya quarters (for those who don't know, I live about 6 miles from the Denver Mint).
The supermarkets gets frequent coin deliveries but really can't give out rolls (unless my timing is perfect and the right person is there lol).

So I went to the market and decided to buy a couple of lotto tickets so I could test their change
The wonderful little old lady at the service desk whom I've known for years was there and absolutely couldn't give me a roll because she said she only had 2 for the day.

She took one roll out and said "look I even need to open my first roll for your change"...This frail tiny woman then lifted the roll and proceeded to slam it on the edge of her counter like she was swinging a baseball bat in a WW2 movie and I almost had a stroke lol.

She pulled out two piles of 4 quarters from each side of the break in the roll and put them on the counter...
I immediately saw the new Maya amongst the rest since they were all extremely circulated.
How it survived like this is something to be in awe of.

Feels like being a kid again finding my first one!!! :smiley:

And so of course the first thing I did after I got that Maya quarter was drive around for an hour to 2 credit unions and 4 local Chase branches for more... pretty much all my local banks in the Denver area are limiting to 2 rolls of each type as of only a couple weeks ago.
So now I also have at least 6 rolls I have to assume are all fresh Washington Crossing the Delaware's, woohoo!

In the supermarket when I found it, stood there like a nut job to document it lol


It's a luster bomb with not many hits!

Confirmed. Casino has new quarters. They told me to wait when business slows down tonight and come get them.

hi guys, sorry for posting late on the update but i got $68 in cents. the total was 24 wheats all were 1940+ except a 1920 and a 1929 (both were trashed) and a decent 1935. there also were a few au/bu wheats with a little bit of red luster.

 

Pulled some nice Maya's from the $500 I got. My wife went and bought the other $500 they had while I was golfing yesterday. She won't let me open them. What the heck! Posting this 82 D I found last night. Rim cud.

 

The brinks truck beat me I called and they said have plenty then by the time we got there basically all was gonedidn't mention it was coming at all!!!!no finds worthy of posting.

 

Gotta be quicker on the draw, my friend.
I have a couple solid boxes of 21P cents I can send you if you really need to scratch the itch haha.

 

Good one but actually I spoke to soonlast roll gave me a break!!!!I am quite disappointed but I'm fine with this honestly,could've been a lot more though.

 

Keep getting skunked on half dollars but at the bank I was able to pick these beauties up today. Not silver but they are hard to find.
