That poor coin has been attacked to within an inch of its life and had the life sanded out of it sadly. Spend it while you can

 

Might not even be accepted as legal tender. Looks like a slug.

Damaged i doubt you could spend it but try to sneak it in a roll of quarters possibly.

Perfect candidate for the infamous "planted" future metal detector find.

 

Must be one of those "attach a coin to your kids shoe bottom" and was reversed after a while. PMD, ground down for unknown reasons. Hardly worth anything now.

 

maybe it was used by Fred Astaire on his shoe when he leaned to tap dance.

 

Just a quarter that was unfortunately stuck in a dryer at the public Laundromat for a few very long hard years.
