In my accumulation I found a 1960 P LMC with a die crack that runs from the rim at the shoulder to become a faint Spike Head at the W in IGWT. There are several other cracks bursting from it in the head.
It is very faint above the neck turning back towards the ear. I found three of them in some I have had since they were available at the banks.
Do you know how difficult it is to line that hair up exactly the same way on three different coins? A guy needs real good eyes and real good nerves.
Confirmation of the conditions displayed on the 3 coins the subject of this post doesn't require good eyes as much as it requires open eyes.
You have better eyes than me @Inspector43. While I see what you are referring to in the enlarged photos, I'm not seeing what I associate with a die crack, but then I wouldn't have even given the cents a close-up look.
I don't know what else it could be. If you look at the bottom of the shoulder on all three you can see the crack goes all the way to the rim. I look at them because they are mine, I have had them since they were born, and I am not buying anymore. I have thousands that I have been sitting on most of my life and have been sorting them since I retired a few years ago. It keeps me in the hobby.
