Hello and Welcome. I personally collect the 1964 Kennedy for the silver content.:)
Let's see what you have first please so we can determine if it's a Doubled Die.
Here is a link for most DDO and DDR....

Welcome to Coin Talk. If you get a Yeoman Red Book and read the section on Kennedy Half Dollars you will learn a lot and answer your own question. There is way too much info about them to include in one post.

Generally, 1964 was the first and only year they were 90% silver. 1965-1970 they were 40% silver. 1971 began the clad coinage, but silver proofs were struck too.

All can have worth for silver content, or be in a superior condition, until the clads.
The clads need to be MS or a known variety. Variety Vista or Wexler can help you determine doubled die varieties.

That's not what the poster is asking... They want to know if there's such thing as a DDO and a DDR on the same coin.

I know it's possible, but I would have to research a bit to find the answer.

Sorry @Markay, I don't see enough here to call any of this a DDO or DDR. Nice coins but like I said, no Doubled Die unless you can prove it.:)

@Markay …I don’t see any doubling from any of your pics. None of your coins appear to have been struck more than once. Hub doubling is not the same as being struck twice. Proofs are struck more than once, under controlled conditions, depending on the year and denomination. Your coins are very shiny, with a polished look.

What I do see is a lot of reflection and glare. Ditch whatever you are using to light your coins and go to 2 forty-watt bulbs at 10 o’clock and 2 o’clock, set either side of your scope or camera. Use a black or neutral gray background. Then try again.

Compare what you think is doubling to those images that are known and accepted at John Wexler’s website: doubleddie.com or at CONECA’s Variety Vista site.

Take your time and confirm to yourself. Reflection and glare can mimic doubling. Your research will tell you if you have doubling and whether or not it shows on both sides of a coin.

Markay, I would suggest studying up on the minting process, on how errors occur, and how to tell them apart. You are using the terms doubled die and double struck interchangeably when they are two totally different things. Then there are several more common types of doubling. Good luck!

Here is a reference to some of the variety's, The die markers and doubling have to match up. Just scroll down and find Kennedy Halfs

Sadly most folks confuse Mechanical Doubling with being a Doubled Die. The thread below shows what MD looks like, flat and shelf like doubling.

It depends on what you consider money.

The 1967 DDO-007 / DDR-11 or FS-102 Kennedy half dollar in MS64 condition PCGS price guide list this coin at $2,650.00. The only problem is that PCGS has only graded and attributed two coins at this level and neither one of them is for sale at that price. I had another one, mis - attributed as the FS-102 in a PCGS MS66 holder that PCGS bought back for $4,500.00. This is the only DDO / DDR that I know of that is worth more than just up to a few hundred coins.

There are several other Kennedy half dollars varieties minted between 1964 - 1971 that are either a DDO or DDR worth a fair amount of funds but no others that are DDOs and DDRs.
