Just what we need. Another business leaving the United States so they can pay their employees less than minimum wage.

It was obviously a good way to make sure that the crew never again went out of their way to try and increase their production rates.

Since the business was auto service maybe it was an accumulation of coins from under car seats. :)

Actually we were so mad about getting screwed out of the steak dinner the next couple of shifts we made sure we were under quota.

    I got one.
I work in the printing industry.
Had a case of 4 part reverse NCR paper .
(Standard Color sequence is white, yellow, pink, gold)
This case happened to come in
    White, pink, yellow, gold.
I called the sales rep and asked if someone was having a bad day or hungover?

I explained to the sales rep rte situation and he said cant happen, someone was playing a trick on me.
I assured him, my guy's aren't that motivated and he MOST CERTAINLY had more that this one sealed case of paper.

I sent one package back to the local rep and took a sealed package to a large print show.
At the show I had a conversation with the district manager and he again said it wasn't possible.
I assured him it was and at that point he said I'd bet my HOUSE it wasn't something that they did.
I loudly said I'll take that bet and produced the sealed package of 4 part paper for him to open.
he did finally come to realize that yes his company was in error.
Being that I was just some punk kid that he thought didn't know what was what,
The chickenshitt wouldn't honor his bet.
I raked him over the coals to his boses, piers along with other people in the industry and told him I'd settle for 10% of his house because he was shooting his mouth off.

I sent a letter to the company head saying that I couldn't do business with a company that hires people who Welch on a contract.
Shortly after I switched over to another brand of paper, the company lost a 200k a year account.

No, it is a model of an U.S. Navy F4B Phantom II that was flown in Vietnam by a pilot that became an ace. Later he ran for a seat in Congress and won. But the worse thing he did later was to take over $2.4 million from bribes he took while in the House of Representatives. He served 8 years. So sad. I must have about 20 airplanes in the curio, 2, of which are A7s. I had over 300 airplane models that I sold because my hands don't work like they used to.

Updating the original story, as of Dec 30 the US Department of Labor is suing the employer for retaliation, and back wages and damages for 8 other employees. His little stunt is going to cost him $36,971.

I had a boss that said he would give everyone a $1000 bonus of we hit a certain number at the end of a 31 day month.
We hit that number, he closed the books on the 29th and carried over the rest to the next month...essentially screwing the crew.

I feel you brother. I have lots of stuff that doesn't work like it used to. My mind says "you can do it" and my body says "what, are you kidding me?".

I'd get out of that company ASAP. Sounds like a sociopath to me.
