I was digging through a few old coin books last night - three ring binders with plastic sheets full of 2x2 cardbord flips containing coins of dubious value to be dealt with "later." I just happened to be going through a sheet of 1923 Peace Dollars and in the middle of the sheet, in an unmarked flip, I found this one . . . . . . I have always wanted one but they have become pricey over the last year or two since I've "reconnected" with numismatics. I didn't think I had one, or would ever own one in the near future . . . . . . Post up your "recent finds" . . . . . . . Z
Back just a few months ago I desperately wanted an 1853 A&R half and posted here about it. @lordmarcovan gave me a link to a fellow that had one that I purchased and was quite happy with..... As coincidence would have it, @lordmarcovan was traveling thru my berg shortly after that. He had just picked up some inventory so we had lunch and we sat down to see what we could wheel and deal on... I had a PCGS box that was taking up space and I twisted his arm to take it off me. I grabbed the box to hear the distinctive rattle of a coin inside..... It was this 1853 A&R half!.... Every day is Christmas for me anymore.
