Are some actually legal tender? Are they just silver bullion to stock pile? Do you collect them? Your Opinion and comments. Here are some I bought from folks that was selling their collection otherwise I wouldn't have them. (last three are from my home here)
The ASE and Commem Dollar are legal tender. Granted, they are worth more in silver than face...but you could spend them if you wanted. The others are just bullion. Interesting but not legal tender.
Hutt River Province - now, that's an interesting story! Prince Leonard I... https://www.cnn.com/travel/article/australia-micronation-hutt-river-principality/index.html
Hutt River Province was a prolific manufacturer of coinage since around 1976, Being in Oceania I should be close enough to have seen some examples, but surprisingly I dont see them appearing in the local auctions https://en.numista.com/catalogue/principality-of-hutt-river-1.html
Darn I was hoping Hutt River would have won their independence from Australia once they received recognition. Back in 2016 Prince Leonard received a document for Queen Elizabeth II congratulating him for 46 years of independence. Now the Queen is officially the head of the Australian government, and if the Queen recognizes them as independent, what clain does the Australian government have over them? (Frankly once he received it he should have sent copies to the rest of the countries in the commonwealth and pointed out that since their Queen had recognized Hutt Rivers independence could they also officially recognize it as well?)
