For obverse designs, these were always my favorite patterns.

I don't own any, but I would like to own a "School Girl" dollar pattern.
I also like the "Goloid" dollar patterns.

The top one is a copper planchette for a goloid pattern. The bottom one is made of goloid. I have a real thing for Goloid

Mine will always be the Barber Quarter. What can I say? I'm a simple man.

Very interesting subject for a thread. I knew nothing about them but am reading up now.
For those who also are in the dark, this is how Wiki describes them.
A pattern coin is a coin which has not been approved for release, but produced to evaluate a proposed coin design. They are often off-metal strike, to proof standard or piedforts. Many coin collectors collect and study pattern coins because of their historical importance. Wikipedia

Oops. I got that one wrong. I like the Judd-867 10Cent Pattern coin.

Patterns fascinate me, but I don't own any, and I'm not sure I ever will.

Well, actually, I do have some Carr products based on patterns. I'm very happy with them, but this probably isn't the thread to start that.

It’s a Liberty Standing Quarter, minted from 1916-1930. A beautiful design.

The threads about Patterns but it’s still a great looking coin

That obverse portrait of Liberty is utterly gorgeous. Much more attractive than the more androgynous versions that were adopted. But I can see how the high relief of the pattern would not have survived into actual industrial production.
