Hi all, As some of you are aware i went down to the ANS museum today to film and take pictures of their collection for a documentary i'm doing. Well let me tell you it was awsome! Photography of anytime is not permited in the museum but we got an amazing oppurtunity to go in and take some stills and film of the collection. we also interviewed a few of the staff and get this, i was offered if i go to summer seminar to interview some pretty prevelent authors and numismatists (Q. David Bowers was mentioned) Long story short i'm excited. and i just want to add in that the ANA is the greatest (in my humble opinion) numismatic organization to belong to they're awsome. so i'll be posting some pics soon and maybe a teaser of the interview. keep an eye out! -Russ
Sounds exciting! Are you sure they don't allow photos? My last vacation to Colorado I took hundreds of photos in the Museum.
It's a brand new policy, i had been down there 2 years beofre for summer seminar and they allowed photos then so i was a little shocked when i saw the no photography sign
Wonderful experience for you my friend. I am indeed happy for you. Now you must share some of that celluloid (or is it video, maybe digital?) footage....
Oh it's digital anyone ever seen a 50 dollar half union pattern not on coin facts.com? i got an awsome still of that
Who'd you interview? I interned there the summer of 2007, helped put in the English Civil War exhibit. There's some great people there.
