First purchase of the year and it's a good one. I've been waiting a while to get a good example to represent the series and this one fits the bill. Don't worry Bing, I only want the one, the rest are yours.

Go the mighty Eleventh. Stick it to them!

The eagle on the OP coin just looks off, among other things.

Happens to everyone - don't worry about it. Hopefully you can get a refund and continue your search. Best of luck going forward!

Besides having its photo on the fake list, what exactly makes you think my coin is anything but a hammered original? It shows none of the characteristics of being cast.

What characteristics of casts do you think are absent? The photo you added is of too low resolution to be certain, but the surfaces and edge look problematic. This is even without considering the identical twin in Forvm's fake reports, which makes the condemnation certain.

"identical twin in Forvm's fake reports" .. really says it all. I am no expert so I rely on the experts' opinions.
A couple of years ago I spent $20 on a Constans /Galley reverse coin that @Mat also noticed when I posted it. A well documented fake on Forvm. I was very surprised that such an inexpensive coin was faked(!)..
I also purchased an expensive (to me) Julius Caesar bronze that ended up being heavily tooled. That really sucked - and it was embarrassing. In both cases people on this site pointed out the issue - and I received a full refund from the seller, learned something and moved on.
It happens. Hopefully you can get your money back and continue your pursuit of your target and enjoy collecting. But ya - it stings a little... but no one died.

The coin in Forum is no identical twin, it is exactly the same coin as mine. It was bought at the beginning of October by Otago Coins and then sold to me at the end of October. If there are others like it out there, then where are they?

Are you saying the coin in the Forvm fake reports was sold by numismatics.888 to Otago coins, who then sold it to you in Oct 2021?

Numismatics.888 is on Forvm's NFSL since 2019. That's not a good sign. But if you bought the coin in Oct 2021, you should have it in hand. Maybe a better picture would help.
