An 1837 Large Cent that was graded by PCGS as a MS-64. The variety is medium letters. Light olive brown color with hints of mint red throughout on both sides. Very eye appealing.
I want to put it in my Dansco but it looks great in its slab, plus it’s graded correctly so I’ll have to find any one for the Dansco. I just unpacked this along with some coins yesterday. Camera day was today so postings to follow this week.
Guess that discolorations after the 'Y' & above the bun kept it from getting a higher grade? Still, Such a great example! Congrats, J.T.
I know it is difficult to get a good photo when the coin is in a slab, but better lighting would allow us to see the true beauty of the coin. Just saying. Thanks for sharing.
