I'm still unable to read the small and Large date. Can anyone see if these is a small ans a Large date. Thanks. Ragu
https://www.usacoinbook.com/coins/559/small-cents/lincoln-memorial-cent/1982-P/copper-small-date/ This shows the difference and usually the difference in the 2 is the determining factor with Unc. cents. If circulated at all, the 2 can become "squished" a little as it is near the edge and coin counters can brush over it. Then use the "8" instead. Notice in the Large date the openings in top and bottom of the 8 are very close to the same size. With the Small date , its like a snowman, much smaller hole in top compared to the bottom. Jim
Could use some help. The one cent I can see along with everyone else it's all banged up. I can not make out a date and there is no FG on the back. The coin ,is this something collectors look for or is this a kind of coin you keep it for yourself or through it back In.Ragu
You can almost always tell by the gap between the 2 and the rim. If the 2 is closer to the rim than the width of the bottom of 2, it's a large date. If the 2 is farther from the rim than the width of the bottom of the 2, it's a small date. One glance at this gap and you can usually ID them.
I look at the 8 and then the 2, to determine large and small. Your parking lot cent has the initials, but damaged.
I could use some help with these two quarters. To me the quarter that looks like it has motor oil on it , could some have gotten into the mix someplace. That is in the element , can't get that off. The other I'm still unsure. Maybe they are both parking lot bling. Ragu
I had just pick this up from the bank 2 min ago in change..So if the rim is closer to the top it's a Large date ...This would be a large date .
Close, if the rim is closer to the flat bottom on the 2 (could you put another 2 in there but it would touch the rim) it's a large.
Do you see that thing inside the red circle? Before you attach your photos please click on that to crop your images. All you need to attach is the image of the coin, not all the empty space around it.
I have never seen a penny with the dark in color like this.I like it and is different to me. I will put it with my favourites. Ragu
