Interestingly there were 2 x 100 pesos, both very crisp (AU) with almost consecutive serials - 307B and 309B. I already had 4 copies of the 100s in lesser condition F - EF). Handy for swaps. I also have 2 x 500 peso from the same series but I still need the 50 peso (which you scanned) Happy New Year from New Zealand - we are already at lunch time NYD.
Not actually new...but I did notice the mis print and cut 1953 red seal $ 2. Look at the red seal in the word TWO.
Looks like the misprint involved the second printing because the seal and serial numbers are in the correct position relative to their “centering” on the bill itself.
This is actually a recent pick up from late November. Took a bit to scan P-181b (1993) 10 Pesos from the Philippines with a solid 6 radar:
Beautiful note and very desirable serial number. I have a couple of Philipinas notes. Here is my 1 Piso - Jose Rizal - 1969 Reference: P142b Printer: Thomas De La Rue (England) Signature (s): Marcos & Licaros Reverse Depiction of the declaration of independence of the Philippines in 1898 in Emilio Aguinaldo's balcony
Nice note @BasSWarwick . Above is P-166 Commemorative 2 Peso from 1981. I sort of went a bit crazy on my purchases from this country (they're just so cheap & I like their old world look)
Very appealing note. There is a certain charm and pleasing designs on the old world style notes which I prefer over many modern notes.
Consecutive run of 4 Banque Centrale du Congo 50 Centimes 1997 Obverse Okapi head at left. Bank monogram at center. Reverse Family of Okapis in Okapi Wildlife Reserve at Epulu at left center
Thanks @Kashmir Pulaski for the upload 2 mil peso sounds like 2 million but on checking its 2,000 Débora Arango Pérez on the obverse was a Colombian artist
. Correctamundo. I thought the same thing at first. When I looked up the conversion I realized that NO club is gonna be sending out a $450 bill. ... I do think its very pretty too.
Nice wildlife designs on that run of Central Congo notes @BasSWarwick ! Nice club @Kashmir Pulaski I picked up a radar (P-459) from the same Colombian series:
Since we're working our way up through the series, here's the 10,000 pesos I got for my OFEC set yesterday:
@Notaphylic_C @TheGame Very nice notes - appreciate the scans. The 1992 series are also very nice - although a little expensive. I will add from my Colombia collection a 1 Peso 1973 (1959-77) P-404e Obverse Blue on multicolor underprint. Portrait of Simón Bolívar at left, portrait of General Francisco de Paula Santander at right. Reverse Liberty head and condor with waterfall and mountain at centre.
Colombia 5 Peso from 1977 (1961-1981) P-406e Obverse Condor at left. José María Córdoba at right. Reverse Fortress at Cartagena
@BasSWarwick - I really like your P-404 (1 Peso) & P-406 (5 Pesos) from Colombia. They're the larger format too, correct? It's always a treat to see these older classic designs on the larger sized notes. Here's my last one (also a 3 digit radar): 5000 Pesos from Colombia:
@Notaphylic_C My Colombia notes are both the 140 x 70 size. Not sure if that is the larger format. I really like your Colombia 5000 note - the serial is very appealing.
