I have listed several of my extra half dollars. I am curious of the grades others might out on these. They are older circulated half's. Thank you. Educational here.

Your 1954 franklin appears to be a bugs bunny variety. The older halfs are heavily circulated and some are cleaned(average condition)the 1976-D and 2021 are uncirculated.

Both the bicentennial and the 2021 are less than MS; too much evidence of slight circulation on facial features and reverse designs. If you held my feet to the fire I would place AU58 on both.

Go to PhotoGrade…(kudos to @Matthew Kruse )…to find out about the Walkers. I think you will find all 3 are between F12 and VF20.

Agreed AU 58 is reasonable I was thinking around MS 60-61 for them,What do you think about the 1954?hard to tell but I do believe it's a bugs bunny.

I looked at the Franklins very closely, but do not see the tells. The “Bugs Bunny” variety is very pronounced but I don’t see it here.

Thsnks I am in total agreement on the Walkers. Was uncertain on the newer 2. I am often confused when I see MS 65 graded coins with marks all over them.

You can do PhotoGrade for the Franklins, too, but you can see the facial wear on the face of the ‘63 when you expand the pic.

Well, I am not infallible, I get grading different from the TPGs all the time and I am not the Lone Ranger… they seem to apply different criteria to some denominations and series and you never know if a coin you submit will fall victim to this type of criteria. This is why I like using PhotoGrade, at least I can be in the ballpark with it.

A search for “Bugs Bunny” Franklin resulted in mostly 1955 halves up for grabs on FeeBay, but I saw 1956 and 1963 as well so 1954 is not out of the question. I do see something on the lip of that close-up you did. Perhaps it is a later die state, a vestige of the feature shown more strongly on other dates. I remember reading it was thought to be a result of clashing. Maybe a resident Franklin guru will chime in…Spark
