    Does this coin deserve a strait grade or a details grade.
    Found it with coins that I haven't seen in years. Didn't even know I had it. upload_2022-1-5_19-35-59.jpeg

    Why wouldn't it straight grade. I don't see anything that would make it a "details" coin. Just good, old fashion circulation wear and environmental toning. I like it.

    @Mountain Man
    In hand it looks like it possibly had an old cleaning, not necessarily a harsh cleaning. I wondered if folks thought that it had re toned enough to be acceptable.

    I think it's straight grade. Wouldn't throw my money away to have it graded, but it looks good to me.

    Yep definitely not worth grading.

    @Pickin and Grinin Nice coin. I like the Panamanian Balboa's. Some of my favorite coins.

    For all those that are commenting: I'd say it is a straight grade of Good. Helmet and face have started to merge, many of letters in the motto "PRO MUNDI BENEFICIO" have disappeared, and the rim is also intact but has merged into the dentures. But definitely don't take my opinion with much weight, I'm a noob. Still trying to learn all this grading mumbo jumbo...:smuggrin: If anyone with experience would like to to explain my errors please do so. I need to learn more.

    I think it is cool to have a silver nickel! Half the weight of a US 5 cent piece.

    These are the same weight and diameter as Barber dimes. 17.9 mm and 2.5g.
