Some of you know that I have been going thru 3 mint bags of Lincoln cents. One of them is a 71D, I am about an 1/8 of the way into this bag and have found a few of these little bee hives on the second to last column. A little closer look. Hope the photos are detailed enough for everyone to see. I need a digital scope. I started to look at the obverse to see if I could find a common die marker. It is a circular mark and in the gutter of the rim, to the left of the I in IGWT. Edit, A very sharp looking possible clash. So far the coins I have searched it is unique to bee hive reverse. Even the MM placement matches.
I fumbled with that one, I like to call the larger ones on the outside pillars hornet nests. These little guys are just bees.
The number has gone up to 7 of these. Might have to do a give away or something. I am hoping to find a later or earlier die state to go with them.
